According to § 0 (0) of the examination regulations of the study program M. Sc. International
Information Systems, students are required to spend at least one semester abroad. Students
can go on anexchange semester to a foreign university, do their master’s thesis in cooperation
with a foreign university or with a company located outside of Germany. In order to achieve
the qualification objective of the stay abroad, it cannot be completed in the country in which
the higher education entrance qualification or the first professionally qualifying higher
education degree was obtained.
Students who have obtained both their higher education entrance qualification and their first
professionally qualifying degree in a country where German is not an official language are
exempted from the obligation to complete a semester abroad upon request.
